Working Principle

The drive device in the Paddle Level Switch is a micromotor connected to the transmission shaft via a clutch. When the blade does not make contact with the material, the motor runs normally. When the blade contacts the material, the motor stops, and a contact signal is output, cutting the power and halting the rotary motion. As the material level drops, the pressure on the blade decreases, and the device returns to its normal state, aided by a torsion spring. The torsion can be adjusted based on the material’s gravity.

Mounting Instructions

  • Ensure the wire entrance of the junction box faces downward, and tighten the screw nut securely.

  • Avoid installing the switch under the solid feed inlet to reduce impact on the vane and prevent fault actions. If unavoidable, install a protective shield on the vane as shown in the drawing, maintaining a minimum distance of 150mm between the shield and the body.
